I just kinda sorta took down a Confederate monument

News about former Senator, former Attorney General, former Trump lickspittle, continuing racist Jefferson Beauregard Sessions led me to look up his namesake, Gen. P.G.T. Beauregard in Wikipedia.

The article began “Pierre Gustave Toutant-Beauregard (May 28, 1818 – February 20, 1893) was an American military officer who was the first prominent general of the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. ”

The most important fact about Beauregard  appeared only in the 19th paragraph of the Wikipedia article, so I edited the first sentence to read:

“Pierre Gustave Toutant-Beauregard (May 28, 1818 – February 20, 1893) was a Confederate general officer who started the American Civil War by leading the attack on Fort Sumter on April 12, 1861.”

The rest of the article read more or less like an obituary written by a surviving family member. Rewriting the whole article is beyond my capacity; I hope a kossack historian will follow up.
